To volunteer or Intern you must be over 16 years of age. If you are under the age of 16, you may participate in our Fundraisers and Special Events only when accompanied by a parent/guardian. Consent from a parent/guardian is required of all Volunteers between the ages of 16 and 18.

Upon receipt of your completed application form, we will provide you with further information on the opportunities you have expressed an interest in and details of any training requirements. We may also invite you for an interview, the purpose of which is to provide us an opportunity to find out more about each other so that we can ensure that we are developing a mutually beneficial relationship. Please know that new opportunities are continually being created and that not all positions are open at all times. The completion of our 4-hr Training in Domestic Violence and a background check is legally mandated if you wish to work with survivors of domestic violence.

I look forward to receiving your completed application form, and having you work with us on our goal “to provide long-term transitional housing coupled with educational, financial, emotional, mental, and spiritual training, which will enable the victim(s) to become self-reliant, self-actualized, and self-sufficient.”

If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch. By working together, we can build a safer community, one family at a time.

Kind regards,

Joyce G. Ford
Executive Director
